Release – Run for the light & Love is all
We are our brains, our genes and more, and that combination makes who we are, what we do and so on. Therefore, Leigh Blond has been making music since he was 13. First he played drums, then guitar and piano and more or less from scratch he wrote songs, which were soon covered by other well-known British musicians (Long John Baldry). Obsessively enthusiastic about the blues, most of his songs are straight forward blues or related. A recurring pattern in his composing is blues with a bridge or chorus with melody.
LB’s music world started with Long John Baldy, Chris Farlowe, John Mayall, Elvis Presley, Gerry Rafferty… He achieved his greatest successes with his LP See Me Thru in 1999, made with the Rafferty musicians Bryn Howarth and Pavel Rosak and not to forget the Gerry Rafferty producer Hugh Murphy. Chris Farlowe regularly sings a number of songs on almost all Leigh Blond albums. The title song of LB’s most recent CD, INNOCENCE, has been covered by Colosseum, among others.
The 2022 CD INNOCENCE will certainly have a successor. In the meantime, two singles have now been released, which can be listened to on all contemporary streaming platforms, such as Spotify, Deezer, YouTube Music, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Tidal.
